The Prince of Wales joined in with the Hokey Cokey when he walked into a classroom full of children doing the dance in Sri Lanka

The Prince, who prides himself on his sense of rhythm, joined hands with children in a music class at the MENCAFEP school for mentally handicapped children in Nuwara Eliya.

Wearing a garland of orchids, he carried on with the dance for several verses, eventually giving up when it appeared the children might carry on all afternoon.

The school is run by Chris Stubbs MBE, a British expatriate.
