Motorist who posted #bloodycyclists on Twitter after bike collision is sentenced

She then used the hashtag '#bloodycyclists' after the message.

Way told the court the tweet was the 'biggest' regret of her life. She lost her job at Norwich-based accountancy firm Larking Gowen as a result of the tweet.

She said: "The tweet was spur of the moment. It was ridiculous and stupid and I apologise to all cyclists.

"It is the biggest regret of my life so far."

Since the Twitter message was posted Way, who had 200 followers, has quit the social networking site.
